They involve requisition for purchase of goods, request and firm letters for payment, letters of commendation and recommendation, letters asking for goods on credit, goodwill boosting letters, etc. The letters have to be brief and the intentions and degrees of intensity should be made unambiguouslay.

Subject : Report of annual sales
Sir,
I am happy to present to you this report on the sales promotion campaign intiated by me in my area covering 5 districts in U.P.
You will be glad to know that the annual sales registered a 100 per cent rise in the financial year 2008 to 2009. The attached graph shows the respective sales in the 5 different districts.
I had to utilize visual media like posters, T.V. and radio advertisement to give an enhanced view of our paper quality. The door to door visit to big corporate and public sector companies proved to be the most effective, accounting for more than 65 per cent of the orders placed with us.
A balance sheet of expenditure and sales is represented in the attached sheet.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully,
Ashis Kalra
