In response to your advertisement appearing in INDIAN EXPRESS dated 5th June inviting applications for the post of a typist-cum-clerk, I offer myself as a candidate for the job.
I have passed B.A. in first division from Punjab University.I have a bright academic career. My family circumstances have compelled me to discontinue my studies and look for a job. I learnt typewriting from Pupa Institute for one year and possess an accurate speed of 55 w.p.m.
I worked for six months as a clerk in all types of routine organization, acquiring experience in all types of routine official work. At present I am working as typist in a reputed public Firm.
I am a young man of 24 years. I have good health and an amiable personality. I know English and Hindi very well and can speak and write well in both languages.
I am a hard working man. I assure you that you will have no cause for complaint regarding my work and conduct.
I hope that you will be kind enough to accommodate me as clerk or a typist clerk in your firm. I shall do my best to prove to be an asset to your organization.
