Channel, New Delhi. 6th June 2005 Dear Sir, Subject : Application for The Post of An Announcer In response to your advertisement in The Employment News of today for the post of an announcer for All India Radio - Delhi, I offer myself as one of the candidates for the above. I beg to give some information about my qualifications and experience in the above field for your kind consideration. I am a graduate from Delhi University securing first division. Thereafter I did my M.A. in Hindi from the same university. During my college days I took keen interest in singing and debates. I was a member of our college music society and also that of the drama team. I won a number of prizes in acting and singing. I have a pleasing voice and can speak politely. I am 22 years old and have a good personality. I have passed the audition test conducted by All India Radio - New Delhi. I have broadcast two talks on youth problems in the Yugvani programme of All India Radio - Agra. I have command over both English and Hindi languages and can speak in English fluently. I take keen interest in current affairs and my general knowledge is quite good. I also take interest in Indian history and culture. If given a chance to be an announcer, I will satisfy you with my work and hope to become popular among the listeners of the programmes. I hope that you will kindly give me a chance to serve.
