Business Free Letter Sample : Important Guidelines for Filling Forms of Ticket Deposit Receipts
This Letter should be written in The Letter-Pad of the Company.
Passenger is required to send an application for refund (in the application form printed on reverse) to the chief commercial manager (refunds) at the address printed on the top of the TDR. This receipt in original must be returned. The application must reach the concerned refund office at the earliest but not later than 90 days from the date of journey.
The certificates, issued by TTE/Conductor for lower class travel, AC failure, less number of persons traveling etc. are also required to be enclosed in original with the application .
It will be in the interest of passenger to send the application either by hand or by registered post and keep a copy of the receipt and other documents.
If the ticket holder is not in position to travel, he can surrender the ticket at the nearest railway station within prescribed time limit and obtain the ticket deposit receipt (TDR). Then the ticket holder may apply to the chief commercial manager (refunds) of the TDR issuing railway for refund.
