Comparative Negligence : a guiding principle of tort law which is used in certain courts of law when the fault of which defaulter is more is to be determined compared to the fault of the other defaulter, for example, if a car which is over speeding collides with another car which has run through the red light, then the court can rule that neither party can collect damages, unless one person’s fault can be proved to be more than the other person’s.
