Subject : Application for a Nursing Job
From your advertisement in The Times of India dated 15th June, I learned about the vacancy of the Male Nurse in your Hospital and Research Centre. I have over ten years of experience in nursing job. Presently I am working in a New Delhi based hospital but I like to move to Karnataka as I belong to Bangalore.
I have always been very loyal, caring and dedicated to my work with sympathy towards the patients. I have also been awarded Mother Teresa Award by the state government for my dedication towards work.
I am enclosing my resume for your kind consideration and hope to get an opportunity for a personal interview at the earliest possible.
Thank you in advance for considering my application.
NOTE : The well written cover letter that accompanies your resume introduces you to your prospective employer. The letter explains where you learned about the job, tell why you are interested and highlight what parts of your background make you the most suitable for the position. A bad cover letter can tempt the employer to put aside your resume without even reading it. Always address cover letter to the concerned person. Try to find out TO WHOM you should address your cover letter. For jobs posted on websites, this is usually difficult to locate. In case you are unable to locate the name of the person you are to address your cover letter, make sure at least to address the cover letter in proper designation.
