Dead Time, Dealer, Debenture, Debit Balance :

Dead Time : The time period in which no work is carried out. The situation may arise if the equipment seizes to function, due to lack of materials, inadequate numbers of workers to run the machine or a production line, etc. : sometimes dead time is planned also, as for regular maintenance, for scheduled holidays, vacation etc.

Dealer : A person engaged in buying or selling : one who deals in the market : A dealer may deal independently or he may have taken a franchise or he may be authorised to trade in a particular product or service

Debenture : A legal document acknowledging that the issuer owes a certain amount of money to the bearer : an interest, bearing bond that is issued against the general credit of an organisation with no specific assets pledged : Holders of such bonds issued by a corporation are creditors and therefore entitled to payment before owners or shareholders in the event of dissolution.

Debit Balance : An entry in a double entry bookkeeping system that represent the normal balance of an asset or expense account.
