The Name, Designation and Address

The Name, Designation and Address :

After writing the heading, the letter-writer should mention the name and designation of the addressee in full. This should be exactly the same as what is written on the envelope. In some cases, the name and address of the addressee is written at the end of the letter on the left hand side after the writer has signed. In majority of cases, this part is written immediately above the salutation.

If both the persons – the writer and the addressee are well known amongst themselves, the writer can address the addressee as Dear Mr. Krishna. In this case, the address is written at the end of the letter. It is also to be noted that each line of the address should end with a comma and the last line ends with a full stop.
