Dumping, Dun

Dumping, Dun :

Dumping : The practice of selling goods outside of the usual distribution channels, often a foreign market, for lower than normal price and for a reason that brings into question the ethics of the company doing the dumping. Goods may be dumped in a foreign market because they are of an inferior quality and cannot be dumping sold domestically. Selling at a lower price in a new market may be an attempt to undermine competition. Dumping can also be a means to increase – if the setup cost of production is very high, additional units beyond those that can be sold in the domestic market at regular prices may be manufactured at a very small cost : those additional units can be dumped in a foreign market and priced much lower than the same product in the domestic market while still earning a significant profit because of their low price

Dun : To ask or force for payment
