Escalator Clause : the provision or stipulation in a long-term contract that allows for adjustments in the price for covering any expected changes in the labour and material costs : in a labour contract, it refers to a stipulation or provision for the increase that happens automatically so as to accommodate any rise in the cost of living
Escape : the act of suspending processing or returning to a preceding menu or operating level
Escape Character : the control character that the Escape key signals and that which indicates the start of a pointer or monitor control code in certain programme sequences
