Escape Key, Escape Sequence, Escrow :
Escape Key : a function key that sets off or initiates the escape command
Escape Sequence : a character string with the escape code (ASCII027) as its preface so as to enable the computer to recognise the character string as a command
Escrow : something that has a value, as money, securities or a written instrument such as a deed, that is kept or placed with a third party as a deposit and the third party holds the deposit till the fulfilment of certain conditions. Escrow may also refer to the deposition of the earnest money that is retained till the execution or abandonment of the sales agreement; a deed or legal document that is mortgaged in return of a real estate loan and on the repayment of loan or its declaration in default, the deed is returned to the legal owner; the sum that the holder of a mortgage gets for periodic expenses, such as taxes and insurance etc.
