Dear Sirs,

I regret to inform you that a fire broke out in the Company’s Godown on 2nd May at 2 O’clock in the night. It was caused by short circuit and the whole building was ablaze within minutes.

The moment it was discovered, the fire-bridge was called for. But it could not help the Godown and the rest of the articles have been reduced to ashes.

It is feared, the total losses will come up to over two lakhs. The Insurance Company has been informed and a requisite claim has been submitted for the damages caused, because the loss is fully covered by insurance.

The articles saved from the flames have been shifted to the vacant premises of the factory and it will take the office about a fortnight to compile exhaustive lists of the articles lost.

The managing Director, who has been apprised of the position, will soon decide to call a meeting of the Board.

Yours Truly,

For ABC LIMITED

(V. RAJAN PETER)

Managing Director
