During the routine rounds the undersigned came across in the scrap bin a rejected piston rod measuring 8’’ x 14’’ with 7.8’’ diameter. This is rejected due to damage at one corner.
This comes under m/cg rejection. In other words, it is a loss to the company.
Is there no other way to salvage this piston rod that had undergone many operations before it was rejected at the final stage?
I suggest that you can still use it for the next under size product by removing the damaged portion at the corner.
Please segregate whatever can be used from the scrap bin.
