Dear ____,

Universities and Society :

As a professor of Psychology at Hometown University , I am veryconcerned about adequate funding for universities and research. It has been argued that the government spends too much moneyon universities and that a better use of the money would be forprofessors to spend more time teaching and less time "on otherthings."

Universities are mandated to do a number of things. One of theirprimary duties is to teach inquisitive undergraduate minds and tonurture budding scholars and scientists. Canadian universities dothis very well when compared to the rest of the world. Studentslearn best about specific subjects when they have theopportunity to learn from those who actually do the research, who are up to date and who can help them participate. We alllearn best by doing.

Research helps Canada stay modern and strong in comparison toits global partners. Research helps us make Canadian societybetter. My research, for example, has helped children withlearning difficulties succeed in school. We have developed amethod for assessing reading and speaking problems byexamining how the brain works. Other colleagues have taken thisresearch and developed ways of helping parents, teachers andpsychologists improve children's learning. Many of my studentshave directly helped in this important work.

It is important to recognize the role of universities anduniversity-based research in contributing to a strong economyand a healthy society. As part of Psychology Month, throughoutFebruary, the Hometown University Psychology Department willbe hosting a series of lectures on the research we areundertaking and its relevance to society. The lectures are open to students of all disciplines and to the general public.

We hope to do our part to contribute to Psychology Month's goalof raising public awareness of the diversity of psychology andhow it contributes significantly to improving the health andoverall well-being of Canadians.

Thanking you.

Yours Sincerely,

This is a typical Letter from a University Professor to an Editor. You have to add your company's name with full address. And the receiver's name and full address also should be added in the place allotted for that purpose. Without those primary details no letter carries any significance. So, you are requested to provide all those important details. Failing which the letter will make a wrong impression about your company and you among the receivers of your letters. This is the most unwanted attitude on your side in dealing with the clients who are the most valued assets of any business organisation. If necessary, leave those spaces blank.
