My dear Jayaram,

I am shocked to receive a letter from your principal. It contains a list of the marks you obtained in your first House Examination. It is really very painful. The Principal has remarked that the reason behind this poor show is your negligence of studies. He has specifically mentioned that the reason for negligence is that you have fallen in bad company. Naturally, you waste your time and money in idle pursuits.

You should remember that a bad company is the greatest hurdle in the life of a young person. It is the time for you to make your career. Time does not wait for any one. Moreover, bad activities can also bring disgrace to the family.

I would advise you not to mix up with those bad boys in future. Please pay proper attention to your studies. You should realize what our parents are expecting of us.

Yours loving sister,
