Letters of Invitation

Letters of Invitation :

Invitations that we receive and send to others also need a form.

While writing invitations, two forms are generally adopted.

1. Formal

2. informal

How to differentiate between formal and informal invitations?

An invitation which is generally written in third person is a formal invitation. An informal invitation is written in first person like an ordinary friendly letter.

In informal invitations, heading, salutation and complimentary ending will not be used. The reply to formal invitations can be written either in third person or in first person.
