The Manager,
Canara Bank,
BANGALORE – 560 020.

Dear Sir,

I seek a loan for Rs.5,00,000/- to meet the expenses of my son’s education in U.S.

My son, Mr. S.A. Peter Graham, has secured admission in the University of Florida to do his M.S. programme in Computer Science starting from August 2000. The course is for two years.

As per my estimate, to meet the expenses towards tuition fees, medical, hostel room rent, food and books, an amount of Rs.5, 00, 000/- will be needed. Hence I have submitted my application for this loan.

As a security, I can pledge my property, at the above address, which as per current evaluation is worth Rs.40, 00, 00 and as such I am the sole owner of this property without any encumbrances whatsoever.

Vide Fixed Deposit Receipt No. 2162 dated 2nd February 2000, I have deposited Rs.2, 00, 000/- for a period of three years in your bank. This forms an additional security.

For your kind information, I am holding the post of a professor in a leading institution getting good salary.

Enclosed is Xerox copy of my son’s admission letter for your immediate reference.

After hearing from you, I will bring all the documents in original and also my son to sign up the required papers.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Yours faithfully,

S.A. THOMAS GRAHAM
