Memorandum Regarding Updating Check-Out Registers

Memorandum Regarding Updating Check-Out Registers :

This Memorandum should be typed in the official letter-head of the company.

TO :

As we all know, most items brought to the check-out line are rather bulky, and require extra time to be lifted out of the cart and passed over the bar code scanner. These procedures hamper the cashier's efficiency, increase the risk of injury, and reduce opportunity for increased sales.

I believe I have a solution to our problem. A business associate recently sent me a brochure featuring a new hand-held cordless bar code scanner. I have arranged for an in-house demonstration next Monday, 7 a.m. .to 8 a.m. Please be sure to attend.

Thank you for your attention.
