Thank you for your letter. It is good to hear from you. It took quite a while to settle down to our new place, but we are slowly getting used to it.
About the mathematics book I borrowed, I’m afraid I’ve lost it when we moved house. So I offer to buy you a new book. Would you rather I send you the money so that you can buy a new one yourself or would you want me to buy one and send it to you? I think the first proposal is more economical. What do you say? I’m sorry for causing you any inconvenience.
I can’t come down during the holidays as I have started work in a factory here. But I will certainly come down when I get my annual leave.
I’ll see you some time in the future.
