Note the straightforward non-whiney nature of this letter. The nicer you are the more apt you are to get in the A pile and get taken care of. This is written to a large company so formality should rule.
Smaller companies generally allow their customer support people more flexibility to decide things so you can be more informal with them. An important warning. In this day and age every company has received the tough guy letter.... so don't try it. It just gets you put in the B pile and forgotten.
