Dear Shankar,

I received your well-written letter yesterday and was happy to know that you are fine there. You have asked me to tell you about my new college.

I sought admission here in Anna Gappa Commercial College this year. THe environment of the college is entirely different from that of our schools. The discipline in the college is not as strict as it was in our school. There is no constraining of wearing any uniform. The professors are supportive and taught us in very friendly way. The teachers are also easy going, not as strict as compared to those in school. Professors just come in the class, deliver the lectures and leave. They generally do not bother to ask any questions from the students. They are not worried whether any student follows them or not. Also, all kinds of facilities…. like library, sports, games and canteen are available in this college.

Students enjoy the freedom of college life. Everyone is at libery to go wherever he likes, do whatever he likes and speak his mind within certain limits. There is none to check the students. Under these circumstances it is quite likely that the students can spoil or make their lives.

Therefore, I don’t waste my time in useless pursuits rather I have started making notes and consulting the library books.

I have to do a lot of hard work to achieve good marks. Tell me about things at your end.

Convey my regards to your parents.

Yours sincerely,

This is Sample of A Personal Letter. You have to add your sender's name with full address. And the receiver's name and full address also should be added in the place allotted for that purpose. Without those primary details no letter carries any significance. So, you are requested to provide all those important details. Failing which the letter will make a wrong impression about you among the receivers of your letters. This is the most unwanted attitude on your side in dealing with the receiver. If necessary, leave those spaces blank.
