Wasted Love Letters Montana : A Letter of Sorrow to A Friend
Here is a sad news for you. My beloved wife’s sudden and tragic death has overwhelmed me with untold agony. There is no medicine or herb which can cure my deep sorrow and desperation.
How cruel of fate that she who is always in my thoughts should so depart for ever and ever! You know we have been hardly married for a year and yet don’t have child.
What should I do?
Where should I go for solace and refuge?
My ill luck! Damn me! I should die. I don’t want to live more.
While she was on the bed I wrote a poem for her.
Don’t leave me here all alone,
All alone as stranger and unknown,
You yourself have ever led me forward
And loved me as your own.
My love for you is an eternal fire
In the mind ever burning…
Never sick, never old, never dead,
From you never turning.
Alas! She has left me. My dear friend… please show me the path.
Where I should go?
What I should do?
Here is nobody to console me. Every corner of the house has become dreadful for me.
I will go mad. Please show me the light.
